Charlie Sheen asks court to reduce child support amount

Charlie Sheen has asked the court to reduce the amount of support he pays ex Brooke Mueller for the former couple’s twins, Bob and Max.

Actor Charlie Sheen has asked the court to reduce the amount of support he pays ex Brooke Mueller for the former couple’s twins, Bob and Max.

According to court documents, the 50-year-old actor currently pays Mueller $ 55,000 per month for the children. He did not say what the new amount should be, People magazine reported.

The actor has said he should pay less child support now, as his income has dropped significantly since the deal was struck.

According to Sheen, he was making $ 613,000 per month working on “Two and a Half Man,” which he left in 2011 and his current income is on average $ 87,384 per month.

Due to the drop in income, he says he cannot keep up with monthly child support payments.

The actor, who recently revealed he is HIV-positive, said he spends around $ 105,000 on bills and other fees, and an additional $ 25,000 per month on medical bills not covered by his insurance.

The initial deal was reached in February 2011. A hearing for Sheen’s claim is scheduled for April 13.
